The saw pictured here has undergone a muffler mod as well, but it had been too extreme in terms of noise, so I reversed of it by welding close part of the exhaust opening and thus burning part of the nickel coating of the muffler. However, a PS not the one in the pics was the first saw I rebuilt and still is the saw I most often use, since she's very lightweight and very powerful after she has undergone a little muffler mod.
